| Our burials database is a new addition to the Digest
Family History website and our registered members have access to
additional information than that which is displayed here. Our members also
have access to additional search facilities and can carry out a search by
grave number to locate all individuals who were laid to rest in that same
grave. Designed primarily for family history research, it does seem appropriate to
enable the display, as part of the Knottingley and Ferrybridge Online
website, of all those people who at one time or another have had a
presence within the town. Tragically for some individuals that time was
extremely short while others have been fortunate to lead much longer
lives, however, everyone featured on our database has made an impact on
other people's lives in one way or another and all are equally deserving
of being remembered. This facility is just one example of the resources on offer on the Digest Family History website. It has taken many hundreds of hours to compile this information and make it available which is the reason that the Digest Family History is a members only website but you can register and gain full access to all our information for the equivalent of only £2.50 per month. Not only that but you will also have access to all new information as it is made available for the duration of your membership. This example database only permits users to search by surname and the information returned is not as extensive as that which our registered members have access to. Our registered members can also search by first name, year of burial and by grave number and the information they can access includes all that additional information where it has been recorded in the burial registers. Your support is vital if we are to continue to make additional information about the town and the people of Knottingley and Ferrybridge available and maintain the information that we have already made available. The Knottingley website and the Digest Family History website depend entirely on visitor support and even though I have stated it many times, unless a degree of financial support is forthcoming then we will have to reconsider what information we continue to make available to you and which website(s) are retained.
