IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE

Due to several recent lengthy outages, during which time the Yorkshire Ancestry website has been unavailable, it has been decided that no further updates will be made to the website on this server. Many of the facilities previously available to registered members have now been removed from the site, leaving only the family tree and BMD databases accessible.

I hope that members can understand that the recent problems have been entirely out of my control and that our web hosts, in this case JUST HOST . COM, have not been very forthcoming with information or updates regarding the unavailability of the website. Indeed, we still do not have full access to website enhancements that have been paid for in advance.

The recent problems have meant that some of our most recent data has been erased due to our webshosts replacing the entire site with an old backup copy from 2 months ago. This has corrupted our membership database as well as our family history data, and our own most recent site backups, a task carried out automatically, have also been erased.

I do intend to restore the site and transfer it to a more reliable web host as soon as possible but this may take a number of weeks to complete.
