LAST UPDATED 4 APRIL 2008 By applying for membership of the Digest Family History database you are deemed to have read and to have agreed to the following terms and conditions. Your membership of the Digest Family History website allows you to personally access our website to search for and retrieve any information contained on our database that your membership allows you to access. You must not share your personal login details with anyone else or allow anyone else to login to our website using your username, e-mail address or associated password. Any violation of this condition can result in an automatic de-activation of your account with a possible delay in any access to your account being reinstated. Any member who is found to be in frequent violation of this condition will have their account terminated with the forfeit of any fees paid. Under no circumstances will any fees be returned in the event of any misuse of our website through members sharing their login information with any other party. If you believe that any other party has knowledge of, or access to your login details then it is to you, the member, to change your password immediately and to notify us of any potential misuse as soon as possible. By accessing and using the information contained on our database you accept that we do not provide any guarantee that any such information you access on our database is correct. The information published on our Family History Database is intended as a guide to help our members locate members of their own family tree and wherever possible our members should obtain the necessary proof in the form of birth, marriage or death certificates or by viewing the actual documents concerned. We cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions in any of the information contained on our database or on the Digest Family History website. We agree to reimburse any subscription payments where such payments have been made or debited as a result of an error or mistake on the part of Digest Family History and for which we can be held fully responsible. If you have any reason to suspect that any payment you have made to Digest Family History is incorrect then please contact us with full details of such transaction as soon as possible. Under the terms of our Annual Membership payable in 3 x Monthly Instalments, we reserve the right to terminate any account where we are notified that a recurring payment has been cancelled by the member before the full term of their payment schedule has been completed. Where any such subscription payment is cancelled before the final payment has been made the associated members account will revert immediately to a 30-Day Membership account and access to our website will be provided only until the end of the 30-day period during which the final payment on that account was received by us. Under no circumstances can payments be refunded. As a member you have the right to cancel your subscription payment at any time and we will continue to provide access to our website for the remainder of the 30-day period during which your final payment was credited to your account. No refunds of any payments can be offered in respect of the cancellation of a members Annual Membership. Our Annual Membership provides a 75% discount on the price of regular monthly access fees and members agree that payment of an annual membership fee is for the supply of a 365 day service which we will provide for the duration of that term regardless of whether the member makes use of the service we provide or not. Digest Family History will make every effort to provide an uninterrupted service to all its members but we cannot be held responsible for any problems experienced by our members that are not within our control. During peak periods members may experience sluggish performance from our hosting server and we will attempt to monitor any such problems that we are notified of in an effort to resolve any issues our members experience. The terms and conditions outlined above can be updated at regular intervals and it is the responsibility of each of our members to ensure they are fully aware of the current terms and conditions outlined in this page.
